Soon to be released Ragini MMS seems to have run into a controversy. The movie is based on the real-life incident of a Delhi girl whose boyfriend had shot a MMS of their intimate moments. The MMS created a huge controversy as it was leaked on the internet.
Now the girl, Deepika is demanding to watch the movie before its release. Ragini MMS is a paranormal thriller that takes inspiration from her life’s incident. Deepika says that Balaji Telefilms, the production house that has produced the movie, has signed a contract with her.
She says, “I was shown the script and I did read it. I had no problem with it. There is a difference between reading the script and interpreting it on screen, in a film. If I am not shown the film then I am talking to my legal adviser about it.”
Deepika added, “I have told Ekta that I want to see the film. I had gone to Balaji Telefilms office and they said that the movie is not ready. The film is releasing next week, so how is that possible. “As per the contract that I have signed with Balaji I should be shown the film,” she added.
Deepika is worried about the character based on her and fears that it might create misunderstandings about her in public. She said, “I want to see how my character is being portrayed on screen because if there is something bad then my image will be ruined.”
However, the head of Balaji Telefilms, Ekta Kapoor, says that the movie is mostly fiction and only 30% of it is based on real life facts.
Ragini MMS is scheduled to hit theaters on 13th May, 2011.
