As the Auto Expo 2010 opens up its doors to people, it is evident that India has finally arrived. More and more world renowned automobile companies like General Motors, Toyota and Honda are trying to step up the competition by introducing small and mid segment hatchbacks.
After the huge success received by Tata Nano, it is evident that India is the hottest market when it comes to automobiles. While India’s rich and still look at the large sedans and SUVs, the rising middle class is going for the more expensive mid segment and upper end hatchbacks. Cars like i20, Fabia and Ritz have already made their place in the market. Now Volkswagen Polo, Toyota Etios and Chevrolet Beat are set to storm the markets.
