Asian countries have recognized India as a major partner in an effort to taken on the challenges presented by global recession. In order to be able to face challenges in economic growth, India can help the other Asian countries and this is something that the government of Maldives has been the first one to acknowledge.
The Maldives president also acknowledged the contribution of Indian companies in the economic development of his country’s economic development. The investment in the areas of energy, tourism, educations and infrastructure has helped Maldives emerge as a stronger nation, economically. India is one of the first nations in Asia to stress on the need for creating renewable energy.
The president of Malaysia also acknowledged the greater potential of trade between India and Malaysia. The countries had come together for discussing the major economic issues facing the Asian continent and how the countries could come together and work for strengthening the position of the continent.
