@Joe

Yes, looks like IIM Calcutta will end up with the best placements again this year just like the last year. And it is true that as of now, IIM-C's placements seem to be heads and shoulders above IIMA or IIMB.

But, IIMC is too narrow in its placements. Their placements are mostly in a niche area. About the day zero statistics, IIMC did get more offers than IIMA and IIMB put together, but all those placements are mostly in finance.... Finance pays more so IIMC's salaries come out to be greater than IIMA and IIMB too. But, all round things are different.

IIM-Ahmedabad is topping the list of IIMs with a cohort-based placement system

Do you have statistics to back this claim up?? "Topping" in what respect? Number of offers? Number of firms? Average salary? Offers/Student? International offers?? I'm amazed at the lack of research you have done. Compare these numbers with IIM C or IIM B and you'll be surprised as to how flimsy your "topping" description is. In fact, Day zero saw IIM C receive more offers (Domestic and International) than A and B combined. But hey, you only print what you think is right, right?
