Hyderabad: The country’s foremost automobile manufacturers are all geared to showcase a few of their eagerly awaited vehicles from their stables at an automobile show starting here from Thursday.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in co-operation with Andhra Pradesh Government and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) will unveil the four-day extravaganza, First Auto Show South, to be held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad.
Chief Minister K Rosaiah will cut the ribbon to launch the four day event.
A spectrum of leading automobile manufacturers – Tata Motors, General Motors, Skoda, Toyota, Mahindra & Mahindra, Fiat India, Honda Cars, Honda Motorcycles, Yamaha and TVS Motors – along with car audio and accessories manufacturers, will battle for the top slots informed S. Kannan, Director & Head, CII, AP.
Toyota is touted to showcase the eagerly awaited Toyota Etios alongside its world renowned models, futuristic concept cars and its stable of SUVs. The spotlight will also be on the new motorcycle to be unveiled by Honda Motorcycles at this show.
The exhibition will showcase the most recent products and innovations and will comprise of cars, SUVs, luxury cars, hybrid vehicles, two wheelers, tires and racing bikes, and car audios, video systems, vehicle security systems and GPS Navigation Systems.
This exhibition is endorsed by the Federation of Automobile Associations of India and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India.
The contestants will use this exhibition as a platform to reinforce brand image with shareholders as also to entice new dealers and clients, sharing best practices in addition to using this exhibition as a point of entry into the southern market, remarked Kannan.
This exhibition starting in Hyderabad will move across the country in a phased manner according to plans drawn up by the event organizers, he further remarked.
