Swami Agnivesh, the latest and probably the most controversial entrant in the Big Boss’ house this year, has been slammed by Arya Samaj. The representative from the organization has strongly condemned Swami’s act and said that this has hurt the sentiments of saffron clan in the country.

The organization has announced that they will be boycotting Swami Agnivesh. Swami entered the much talked about reality show house on 9th November. Before entering the house, he said that he is going there to spread awareness on relevant social issues. He said that he wants to use the Big Boss platform to take up important issues.

This, however had no effect on the Arya Samaj. Acharya Baldev, who is the Chief of Arya Samaj said, “Not only Arya Samaj, but entire society will face its consequence because he has coloured his clothes (in saffron colour). So, all those who have coloured their clothes are in trouble. He should have gone after removing his saffron clothes. He has hurt the religious sentiments of everyone including ancient Hindu organisation and Arya Samaj. He has harmed the image of the saints and sacred people.”

Acharya added, “We have already boycotted him from Arya Samaj and in the coming future also we will go on with this boycott. We will completely ban his entry on any functions of Arya Samaj. All the intellectuals from the country will share stage, but he would not be allowed.”

Controversial Pakistani actress, Veena Mallik, who came into limelight through her stint in the reality show, Big Boss Season 4, is set to make headlines once again. She has been signed for the 4th season of Imagine TV reality show, Swayamvar.

After TV actress Ratan Rajput, Veena will be choosing her groom on TV, early next year. The season will coincide with the IPL touranament. She was spotted shooting for the promos in Agra on Tuesday.

The actress used to date Mohammed Asif, the tainted Pakistani cricketer. She was also seen getting cozy with her housemate, Ashmit Patel, in the Big Boss. She received a lot of flak back home because of her “unsuitable” behaviour on-screen and many people criticised her for being publicity-hungry.

The duo looked in love on the show and was seen together many times after the show ended, but that relationship seems to have reached its end. Veena has moved on and now wants to meet her soul mate. The strange thing is, Veena is way more popular in Pakistan than in India, but is looking for suitors here. Her popularity in her home country would have won her the best prospects. But then again, who will watch her on a Pakistani channel?

The production house, will be asking for applications and the shooting is likely to start in January 2012. Out of the last 3 seasons of Swayamvar, only one relationship has managed to end up in a wedding. Rahul Mahajan married Dimpy in the second season. The first season belonged to Rakhi Sawant, who after loads of drama and noise, ended up breaking up with her fiancé. Last season’s Ratan Rajput is still engaged to her fiancé, and has no plans to marry any time soon.

Let’s see where does Veena Malik’s search takes her. It will be interesting to see how this will be taken back home, in Pakistan.

Karan Johar in London during the promotional U...

Image via Wikipedia

Karan Johar is not only a successful movie maker and a prime player in Bollywood, but also a man who makes it to controversial news every now and then. Karan’s sexual orientation has been a question for a long time for both fans and his friends in the industry. Karan Johar pours his heart out to Simi Garewal in her talk show, ‘India’s Most Desirable’.

While asked about his sexual orientation in the talk show, filmmaker Karan Johar openly admits that he is 39 years old, single and has never fallen in love with anyone. He admits to the fact that he is scared to commit to any girl and has never once been in any relationship. It’s a well known fact that plenty of rumors surround his sexual orientation. In this show although he doesn’t clear the air, he comes up with a reasonable explanation and clearly reveals that he is not bothered about what the world thinks of him.

Answering the question about his sexual orientation, the filmmaker said, “It doesn’t bother me when people talk about my bisexual orientation. Obviously if I am 39 and single people will question me. Why should I say I am not gay or I am not bisexual or trisexual?”

As he is a very good friend of Kareena Kapoor, he also spoke about Saif and Kareena’s imminent wedding. After stating that he and Kareena are best friends, he said “They (Kareena and Saif) are going to marry and make the best fairy tale wedding. I love Kareena and I am the bride’s best friend. They are the royal couple of the country.”

While the interview was over, he also made some pretty good moves to songs like Sheila Ki Jawani and Munni Badnam Hui.

Another spicy news that the movie maker has gotten himself into is refusing to interview Paris Hilton. A reliable source reveals that the stage was all set for the interview. However, the media team of Hilton had laid down several conditions. It is believed that Karan was told not to ask any questions about her sex tapes, jail term or drug use.  Although initially Karan accepted to all these terms, he finally backed out.

Karan has never been instructed on what to talk on his talk show and hence he decided to drop out of the Hilton interview. Sources reveal that Paris’ media agents were completely aware of the format of the show and had agreed only after they had watched a few episodes. However, they kept on adding to the terms and conditions that Karan grew tired of it.

Rumors are around that the media agent of Paris is trying to pacify the filmmaker to consider the interview. We do not know how far this is true or how successful they might be. We would just have to wait and watch if the fashion icon can make it to KJo’s couch.

It seems there’s no defeating Amitabh Bachchan anywhere. For decades, he has ruled the big screen with panache and now, with his small screen avatar in Kaun Banega Crorepati, he has done it again.

It is no wonder that the TRP of KBC is much higher than the other prime time shows hosted by Bollywood biggies like Salman and Akshay Kumar, both of whom are hosting some popular reality shows. While Big Boss is still relatively high up in the TRP race with Master Chef trailing right behind, KBC, in its first week itself, has completely overtaken both the shows.

A Unit member from the team of Master Chef shines some light on this, claiming that each reality show has its own sensibilities and therefore its own format and a loyal fan following. Kaun Banega Crorepati has been going on for a few seasons now and it would not be fair to compare it to the brand new format of Master Chef. Yet, the TRPs suggest that the fan following of Amitabh is much more than the youngsters could ever hope to achieve. Though it is true that all three shows are targeted towards different demographics, it is only the TRP that can convey the success or the failure of any of these shows.
