Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ has already started to receive jaw dropping reactions from the audience due to its raunchy dance numbers and Vidya Balan in cleavage-revealing blouses and bitsy clothes. Trade pundits, critics and fans are of the opinion that its going to beat the musical extravaganza ‘Rockstar’ , Farhan Akthar’s  thriller ‘Don 2’ and the comedic ‘ Desi Boyz’.

The movie is directed by Milan Luthria and is said to depict a tragic tale of a south Indian sex symbol who was famous during the 80s and 90s. Vidya Balan dons the role of a voluptuous Woman.  In order to make her character realistic, Vidya Balan has totally left behind the elegant Image she donned in movies like ‘Paa’, ‘Parineeta’ and ‘No One Killed Jessica’. She wears garish costumes and performs skin show by making sexy dance moves.  It could be said that she has even surpassed the image she created of a sexually active woman in ‘Ishiqya’.

When the movie was launched it created a stir among the public as it was said that the movie is based on south Indian sex symbol ‘Silk’ who had ended her own life in the year 1996. But after a recent objection filed by late Smitha’s brother, the movie makers have announced that its not based on any actress’ life.

Vidya made the crowd go wild while she gave a sensual performance along with co star Naseeruddin Shah at the music launch of the movie.

Based on the complaints and criticisms the movie is receiving, trade pundits have estimated that Ekta Kapoor’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ starring Vidya Balan will steal the show when it hits the floor on Dec 2^nd.

T.N. Kapoor belonging to Indore informed the IANS “ The Dirty Picture’ is likely to do good business as it has got mass appeal. Vidya’s already generated a lot of buzz with the way she is presenting herself in the film.”

When asked about Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Rockstar’ he said  “Rockstar’ is for youngsters and caters to the audiences of bigger cities. It may do well.”

Shot in London Desi Boyz is hitting the theatres on Dec 25^th and will cast the magic team of John Abraham and Akshay Kumar.

” ‘Desi Boyz’ is good but whatever little I have heard about the story, I don’t think the audiences will be able to digest it. But since it is a solo release, people would definitely go and watch it as they wouldn’t have any other option to choose from,” revealed T.N. Kapoor.

Delhi based distributor is of the opinion

“Rockstar’ is for the multiplex audiences and I don’t find anything extraordinary in ‘Desi Boyz’ and ‘Don 2′. All the three films are made at a budget of over Rs.70 crore and it often becomes difficult to recover so much cost.

I feel ‘The Dirty Picture’ will work more than other films as it has appeal for both mass and class. ‘The Dirty Picture’ will not only work in the metros but it is likely to work in B and C class cities like Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Bareilly among others.”

The Bachan house was filled with famous actresses on Tuesday to give Aishwarya Rai a grand baby shower. Veteran actors like Dimple Kapadia, Asha Parekh and Saira Banu were present at this function. Designers like Shaina NC and Neeta Lulla also took part in the baby shower.

The Bachan house located in Bandra came alive with floral decorations and overflowed with guests on Tuesday afternoon. According to the guests, Aishwarya was attired in an Indian dress of orange color for the function. And the guests also revealed that she had an ethereal look and the mother-to-be- glow about her. The actress who is married to Abhishek Bachan is on her eighth month of pregnancy.

It was said that Aishwarya looked like a Chan Ka Tukda and was looking quite beautiful. Saira Banu also wished the couple the best and gifted Aishwarya with a gold coin on the auspicious occasion.

Choreographer Saroj Khan who has worked with Aishwarya in many famous songs like ‘Taal se taal Mila’. ‘Barso re’ and ‘Nimbooda’, shared some details about the Bachan household:

 “I have never seen so many celebrity women together. All the women went up to Aishwarya and blessed her. Jayaji received each guest personally and was very warm. Even her daughter, Shweta, gave personal attention to everyone. There were a lot of songs and celebration. ”

The ace choreographer did not just stop with praising Aishwarya; she also complemented Abhishek who had worn a white kurta in Sherwani style.

 “Aishwarya looked pretty in orange. Her face had such a glow. She was decorated with mogra flowers. Even Abhishek looked extremely happy. God bless them both and may the child have a long life,” said Saroj Khan.

Aishwarya Rai was helped in dressing up for the baby shower by famous make up artist Mickey Contractor.

Other guests who attended the baby shower were Karan Johar, Sonali Bendre, Ritu Nanda, Neelam Kothari, Vaibhavi Merchant, Urmila Mantondkar, Abu Jani and Twinkle Khanna.

The news of her pregnancy reached the outside world in June through Amitabh Bachan’s twitter updates. The baby is expected to be born in November.

Will Aishwarya Return to Bollywood?

The big question that has been haunting the fans and other actresses in the Bollywood is if Aishwarya would return to acting. There are rumors that Rajkumar Santoshi who has worked with Aishwarya in two hit films has been visiting Aishwarya not just to enquire after her health but also to talk about signing her for the movie ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’. It is also believed that Aish wants to be in front of the camera as soon as possible.

Did you like Force? If yes, then get jumping as Vipul Shah has already planned for its sequel
Force 2 and has also determined that he will cast Vidya Balan and John Abraham together in this
sequel of Force. Back in 2007, when Salaa-E-Ishq released, fans liked the chemistry of John and
Vidya. According to the sources, Vipul wants the sequel of Force to be a bigger hit as compared
to the original movie, and so he decided to choose Vidya for the main lead role. There is good
news, which is that original director of Force Nishikant Kamal will be the one directing the
sequel as well. It seems that Vipul do not want to keep any stone unturned for a bigger success
of Force 2. Vipul is all excited for Force 2 and said that it will a new villain that John will be
fighting this time, and the adventure is going to be crazier than the original film.

Well the new villain is still under wraps, but the lead roles are out and it seems that the duo is
also excited to be working again opposite each other. For now, Vipul is not ready to share any
other detail about the sequel of the film, but hope that the shoot will hit the floor very soon. The
casting is still under process, and the final draft of the sequel is yet to be finalized. In fact, You
will be surprised to know that Vipul is not the first one to set eyes on this pair, as Sanjay Gupta
also tried to get this duo for his film Shootout at Wadala, but was unable to make his dream
turn into a reality. However, the magic spell was casted by Vipul, who was keen on pairing the
muscular John Abraham opposite of the magical lady Vidya Balan, who has got praises for her
looks and role in The Dirty Picture.
