Vidya Balan is now Silk Smitha and she surely has proved that she can walk the talk. The first look poster of her upcoming film The Dirty Picture is out.

The movie is based on the life of South Indian soft-porn film star Silk Smitha. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor. The poster shows a very hot looking Vidya in a red blouse with her three co-stars around her. The movie has been going around in gossip columns for many months now for all sorts of reasons.

“The poster and the logo of the film has a very 1980s feel to it because the movie is set in that period. We will be launching the first trailer of ‘The Dirty Picture‘ in Mumbai August 30th,” said Girish Johar from Balaji Motion Pictures.

The Dirty Picture’ will hit the screens on 2nd December, this year, which will be Silk Smitha’s birth day. For those who are not aware of her, Silk Smitha rose to cult status in 1980s with her bold scenes and sensual characters in South Indian movies. Her life was one of great hardships, that included many personal and financial problems, which finally led to her suspected suicide in 1996.

The movie captures the ups and downs of this troubled diva. Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, the first trailer of the movie was launched at Galaxy theatre in Mumbai.

Mr. Johar added, “It is because the movie has the 1980s charm of Indian cinema, we chose not to go to any five star hotel or a multiplex to launch the first teaser. The theatre will be set up in a way that reminds people of good old times.”

After immense support from every section and class of people in India, Anna Hazare has also started getting a lot of support from celebrities too. One of the latest ones is the King Khan himself. He has expressed that he firmly believes in the anti-corruption movement.”

Talking at a press conference during a recent event, Mr. Khan said, “I think we all support the cause. I think there should be no corruption in the country. I think this whole aspect is becoming so large and so big and there are so many aspects of it that we need to look at it seriously, quietly, step-backedly. We just can’t keep saying we support anti-corruption.

Shahrukh Khan was present at the opening of a hotel. However, he is also in strong support of holding serious discussion over this issue. “All of us want to support anti-corruption. It’s the worst kind of stigma that one can have for the country. But this wonderful cause has so many aspects too it….I think as an intelligent section of the society, we have to think about the implementation of it. What are the constitutional aspects of it? What are the parliamentarian processes of the same? What is the practicality of the same, how is it going to happen,” he said.

Concluding his answer, he added, “Unless we do that, we just keep talking about it, we just keep doing agitations. We should think how to take the best out of it so that it does not die out. That’s the second step.”Before Shahrukh, Mr. Bachchan had also expressed his solidarity with Anna Hazare when he was incarcerated by the government on 16th of August 2011. Mr. Hazare is on an indefinite strike for the implementation of a strong anti-corruption bill in the country.
